Baltic with Wil and Fira

Pada suatu hari dalam lecture history of architecture (or was it dissertation?) yang menarik, instead of khusyuk mendengar lecture D khusyuk berpot-pet bersama kawanku Wil & Xin. entah macam mana Willow ajak gi Baltic lepas kelas.. initially dia ajak cari birthday present for his friend. so gi cari dulu before gi Baltic. i called Fi up and she joined. dia cari antique pot actually. found one kat this charity shop....cantik...but £10... mahal la jugak considering condition dia tak tiptop. so tak beli, konon nak cari kat carboot sale. anyway.... then gi Baltic - one of NCL's art galleries; and definitely my favourite. highlight of the day was 'The Constellations' by one of my fav contemporary artists Brian Eno. we sat there looking at the art pieces for hours sampai gelap (it's just so beautiful) then balik tibai starbuck's choc decadence. yum!  and oh um this entry kebanyakkannya gmbr bangunan+structure (and cake) dari gmbr manusia.... but enjoy it nonetheless!

It was a normal hectic day. Our work on this row housing in Jungerhalde, Germany was nowhere near finished. Gila banyak lagi kerja and I was panicking a bit masa tu, takut tak sempat siap on time- but anyway; Xin and myself worked in the studio till about 8 in the evening (kerja since pagi non-stop, so bayangkanla lama mana tu). By then we were really exhausted but still determined. Then James ajak makan but i hesitated a bit at first cos I was sooo afraid I won't finish my work on time but then I went anyway (dah lapar nak buat macam mana)...So we went to this place. Ada mcm celebration for International Day ker apa tah organised by James' church community- but it was good. Great food, good crowd and cool music! So dlm tgh2 stress ni, plus dah ada music best kat belakang tu, apa lagi we all started dancing. I didn't take that many pics- I was busy laughing at Jamie and Xin's comical but cute dances haha  So.....yeah. The night was great. I learnt to salsa dance- something I've always wanted to do but never had time to...Xin took some pics of me dancing but I deleted them sebab tak clear ..... Then after makan, balik studio balik buat kerja...By then it was almost midnight and we stayed up till around quarter past 4 in the morning. My sis actually came up suruh I balik tidur kat rumah but i insisted that I won't stop kerja until I habis my work (kena marah la jugak masa tu sebab kedegilan tu). So I spent the night kat studio lah malam tu. It was different la...considering I tak pernah tido kat luar selain dari rumah my friends. I couldn't sleep too. It was freezing cold, the windows are all single glazed, duvet takdak, tido pulak atas 3 wheely chairs I put together, and some 3rd years kept coming in to use the comp and scanner. I attempted to sleep but was defeated...Fortunately I woke up in time to watch the sunrise....cantik sgt pemandangan dia from my studio....rasa sayu jugak pun ada- teringat bangun pagi2 tgk sunrise kat msia...teringat my grandmother jugak.... Ok2. enough of me and my anecdote..Enjoy the pics (eventho tak banyak sgt)!

Last night out with Mima & gang

Mo's leaving for good so we had a night out with our close friends. After Jazz Cafe, jalan kaki to Angie's in Gateshead (and we all nearly got blown off Redhuegh Bridge sebab angin kuat gila); lepak2, borak2 khusyuk sgt smp tak perasan dah nak pkl 4am. Great times....

Summer shopping spree- madness!!!!

O.k. so here's some of the pics I took on trip to Dalton Park. It's a factory outlet around Teeside so apa2 yg dia jual kat sini mmg considerably lagi murah from the ones on high street. We rented a car- Kak Akmar, Mima and myself- just for this. Nak shopping sakan la konon sebab kat sini ada more branded shops dari kat Royal Quays (another factory outlet). We took the A19 towards Teeside- about 20 miles away from our beloved Newcastle city- but got lost kejap sebab terlepas turn (it was raining jugak masa tu so a bit kabur and tak nampak sgt road sign). Once sampai it was madness! Dah la factory outlet and masa tu mmg tgh sale lagi....so murah campur murah jadi la sgt murah! I went crazy esp in Zara- ya Allah!! hoody from berapa ntah jadi £3 jer!! bayangkan!  I tried on 6-12 different things kat Zara saja but in the end I only bought 3 benda jer... Then beli 2 jackets from Mexx- harga asal 1 coat tu £99, turun jadi £5 jer!!  gila tak??! It was really awesome!! Then that night since dah ada kereta, apa lagi, gi Asda la....Asda from our hse jauh jugak la....naik bas (selalunya laa) boleh je tapi dgn groceries yg berguni-guni mana larat nak angkut naik bas kan....so we went to Asda at around midnight. Asda bukak 24/7 btw. Shopping punya shopping smp pukul berapa a.m. tah.... Since tak ramai sgt org pagi2 buta tu, I drove the car around Asda- lepas gian. Dad already knows abt it but mom wud freak out if she found out so shhhhhh!! It was awesome (tho, as usual, I nearly hit/got hit- tak ingat- by a car- i promise u it's the manual gear not my recklessness  ) ! esok pagi tu pulak gi Metrocentre (said to be the largest shopping complex kat UK; lagi besar dari OU/Midvalley/KLCC) jap. Mo had to go and get something for her mom. kejap jelah pergi. nak cepat jugak masa tu...anyway, hope you enjoy the pics!
